The... read more distinct wildlife, including rare species unique to this region, fascinated both my best friend and me, adding a fresh layer to our safari experience. The Ewaso Ng’iro River was the artery of life here, drawing animals in search of water and sustenance. Charles our guide, was very punctual. His behavior is very friendly. We witnessed elephants bathing, crocodiles basking on the banks, and a variety of birds weaving a lively soundtrack around us. The dry terrain contrasted sharply with the lush riverine patches, creating a mosaic of habitats alive with movement and color. Our interactions with the Samburu people offered a cultural perspective, revealing a harmonious relationship between humans and nature that has persisted for generations. Sharing this with my best friend, we felt privileged to witness such authenticity and to be part of a story far bigger than ourselves.

We set off from Nairobi and headed straight to the Masai Mara. The drive itself gave us a glimpse of the beautiful Kenyan landscape, but nothing compared to the first game drive. Within hours, we were spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, and countless other animals-the excitement on the kids’ faces was priceless.
We were lucky to see four of the Big Five and even caught sight of a cheetah on the hunt. Our guide Jhon shared so much knowledge, making it not only exciting but also educational for the kids.
Our last stay, we moved to Lake Nakuru which felt like a whole new experience. The flamingos and rhinos were the highlights there. Our kids so excited when see very close up.
Our journey wrapped up back in Nairobi, with hearts full of memories. Traveling with kids, we were a bit unsure of how it would go, but everything was so well organized by Sammi at Nature Insight Safaris. Our kids had the time of their lives, and we came home with the best memories.

Traveling with my best friend, we marveled at the park’s diversity, from the towering Chyulu Hills to the vast expanse of the Shetani Lava Flows. One of the park’s highlights was the spectacular Mzima Springs, where we spent hours watching hippos submerge and reemerge in crystal-clear pools, surrounded by lush vegetation and birdsong. The park’s rich birdlife and elusive predators added layers of excitement and discovery to our safari. Tsavo West’s combination of rugged terrain and abundant wildlife made each game drive a fresh adventure. We encountered elephants crossing dry riverbeds, buffalo herds grazing peacefully, and the occasional leopard slipping silently through the underbrush. The dramatic landscapes were a constant reminder of nature’s power and beauty, and sharing this with my best friend turned every moment into a story worth telling.

Sammy was very helpful in... read more planning my day and very punctual. The duos in the park were very knowledgeable of the animal and plant species, which made my game drive fascinating. I appreciated that they were so kind enough to help me run my other errands and be patient enough to wait for me in between my safaris. I also visited the museum, where I did a lot of learning, including holding a python 😳
